Letters, ca. 1792-1830.

Primarily letters to the Vallardi brothers and to Giuseppe Molini and company of Florence principally about the publication of his engravings after Old Master paintings, proposing and accounting for work. With three letters, 1792-1811, to the architect Gianantonio Selva and to Franco Aglietti of Venice primarily about his work for the Algarottis. Other letters, to F. Manfredini, F. Bardi, and Antonio Fortunato Stella of Milan, concern engravings. For instance, in a letter dated 1793 Morghen offers to prepare engravings of works such as Guido Reni's "Aurora", a Van Dyck portrait of Gen. Franco da Moncada, and paintings by Rubens, Raphael, Mengs and others. A letter dated 1821 to Pietro Vitali provides information on engravings produced for "l'Orazione funebre di Paolo III."
